Google Adsense Can Help Sites With Earning Money

Those involved in Internet marketing have some idea of the perks of Google Adsense and earning money. Google Adsense can be a very lucrative venture for some so having a better understanding of Adsense is worthwhile when it comes to earning money.

With the consent of site owner small contextual ads are published which is known as Google Adsense. The ads are created by publishers that are selling products and/or creating brand awareness. The ads that are created are called Adwords which is a Google sponsored program.

Google Adwords and Adsense run hand in hand. Every time someone clicks on a sponsored ad after they have done a search on Google or one of their partner networks, Google gets paid a predetermined price by the person who created the ad. 'Pay per click' is the term that was coined for this.

Google has to split the money they receive from the creator or publisher of the ad with the person who owns or hosts the site that the Adwords ads appear and that is the uniqueness of Adsense. Nobody really knows what exactly the split is as it is a well guarded secret, but it does vary and let's assume it is 50% for our purposes.

If a publisher is willing to pay .40 per click for his Adwords ad, then Google get .20 and the host of the site that welcomes Adsense can expect go get .20 every time someone clicks on the ad that appears on their site. So essentially, there is a sort of partnership that is developed between the site owners and Google.

Adsense is shown in the most appropriate manner possible. What does this indicate? Well, probably this can be illustrated best through an example. Let's assume a website featuring women's clothing that is owned by Mary. If Mary decided to make money through her site with Google Adsense, then the ads that would be shown on her site would be related to clothing or women's clothing to be more precise. If shoes were the central theme in one of the pages of her site, women's shoes would be what the Adsense ads would be for.

By what dynamic is price per click determined? Now is when the equation of Adwords comes in. Publishers of Adwords bid on keywords. The publisher will pay more per click depending upon how lucrative or sought after the keyword is. Sometimes a keyword is in excess of $50 per click or sometimes a few cents per click.

Therefore combining a high traffic site with Google Adsense can result in a very lucrative deal. Several Internet marketers will actually create specifically focused sites in order to attract lucrative Adsense ads. -
