A few names keep repeating as you start out to to earn extra money using the Internet. These people portray themselves as know-it-alls and claim to know everybody who is somebody. It is just like what a marketing swami would make you feel. You start feeling that without contacts, you will reach nowhere.
Product launches, audio and video streaming, teleseminars, and joint ventures, etc. are quite common. These are great money spinners for the persons selling these products and services. That does not go to say that the products are fake, they are genuine and have good utility value.
What will not be disclosed to you is that there are thousands of people making thousands of dollars a month on the Internet without investing much money. They do not put in any effort to develop contacts. In fact due to their lack of contacts, they hardly ever go in for joint ventures too. They know the trick to earn extra money by clicking a few links from the comfort of their homes.
Is it really possible? The answer is: Google Adsense, Affiliate links, and content.
Let's see how Google Adsense works. Search engines love good content, the more, the better.
The search engine spiders crawl through your website with multiple content pages and throw up all the contents by following each link appearing on these pages and thereby automatically help increase your rankings.
What do you need to do to earn extra money? Place Adsense ads on every page. Some readers will click the Adsense links. Every click of theirs gets you a commission from Google. The commission could be anywhere between a few cents to several dollars.
A single click is all that is required - nobody needs to buy anything. They just click on the link and earn you a commission. That's why you should be interested in attracting more people to your website - they generate money for you by clicking on the links.
Now just some good content is required. Sadly, most of us do not have a flair for writing. If we did, we could write our own content.
One option would be to use articles written by others. Many popular online directories can serve as a good source for content. Most of it can be used for free if you include the link to the article's source. It works because you're not selling your own product.
The downside of external content is that the user will tend to click the reference link to article's original website instead of clicking the Adsense link, not earning you money.
You can also use Private Label Rights articles. With a few little touches you can turn these articles into your own.
You can earn extra money without having any product of your own by just including your own resource box with a link to an affiliate program. So whether the reader clicks this link or your Adsense links, you are likely to earn extra money.
