Everything You Want To Know About Earning Money With Google Adsense.

Most of the Internet marketing community is at least somewhat familiar with earning money through Google Adsense at this point. Among the perks of using Google Adsense is the fact that it can be used for earning money and it is worth spending some time to see how Adsense does this.

Google Adsense involves placing focused ads on websites with the cooperation of the owner of that web site. Once publishers have created the ads, they are used to both sell products and create brand awareness. Adwords, which is a Google sponsored program, is how these ads are referred to.

Google Adwords and Adsense run hand in hand. Google gets a predetermined price from the person who created the ad, every time someone who does a search on Google or one of their partner networks clicks on one of the sponsored ads. This is what is known as 'pay per click.'

When Google receives money from the creator or publisher of the ad, they have to split the amount with the person who owns or hosts the web site that the Adwords ads appear and that is the beauty of Adsense. The percentage of the split does very and it is a well guarded secret what the percentage of the split it, but let's say it's 50% for our purposes.

If a publisher is willing to pay .40 per click for his Adwords ad, then the host of the website that welcomes Adsense can expect to see roughly .20 every time someone clicks on that ad that appears on their web site. The 50% that is left will be kept by Google. So in effect, this is a partnership between the web site owners and Google.

Adsense displays itself with high relevance. How so? Well, probably the best way to illustrate this would be through an example. Mary hosts a web site dedicated to women's clothing. If Mary wanted to monetize her web site with Google Adsense the ads that would be shown would all be related to clothing, and more precisely, women's clothing. If one of her pages focussed on shoes, then the Adsense ad there would also focus on shoes.

So the price per click is determined by what? The Adwords side of the equation kicks in here. Publishers of Adwords bid on keywords. The more lucrative or sought after a keyword is, the more the publisher will be willing to pay for each click. Keywords range anywhere from a few cents to in excess of $50 per click.

It is not very hard to see how someone with a web site that generates a decent amount of traffic can make some nice money by putting Google Adsense on their web site. Several Internet marketers will actually create specifically focused websites in order to attract lucrative Adsense ads. -
