At the current time, there is familiarity at least to a certain extent about earning money Google Adsense among many in the Internet marketing community. Adsense can be worthwhile if you have a good understanding of it as you can be earning money through Google Adsense.
Contextual ads are incorporated into a web site after Google Adsense has gained the owner's permission. Publishers create the ads in order to either sell, or create brand awareness. The ads which have been created belong to another program sponsored by Google, called Adwords.
Google Adwords and Adsense run hand in hand. Google earns revenue from the ad creator if an ad is clicked after a user has performed a search on Google or one of their partner networks. This has become known as "pay per click".
When Google receives money from the creator or publisher of the ad, they have to split the amount with the person who owns or hosts the web site that the Adwords ads appear and that is the beauty of Adsense. For our purposes, let's assume the split is 50%, but it is a well guarded secret what exactly the percentage of the split is, but it does vary.
Google and the host of the web site split the money paid by the publisher. So if a publisher paid .40 per click for his Adwords ad, then the host of the web site who welcomed Adsense can expect to get .20 and Google gets to keep the other .20 every time someone clicks on the ad that appears on the host's web site. So Google and web site owners are sort of like partners in this.
Adsense is shown in the most appropriate manner possible. What does this indicate? Well, probably this can be illustrated best through an example. Mary had a web site, let's say, featuring women's clothing. If Mary decided to make money through her web site with Google Adsense, then the ads that would be shown on her web site would be related to clothing or women's clothing to be more precise. If shoes were the central theme in one of the pages of her web site, women's shoes would be what the Adsense ads would be for.
So how is the price per click determined? Now is when the equation of Adwords comes in. Publishers of Adwords bid on keywords. The more lucrative or sought after a keyword is, the more the publisher will be willing to pay for each click. Sometimes a keyword is in excess of $50 per click or sometimes a few cents per click.
It is easy to see how someone with a high traffic web site can generate quite a bit of revenue by teaming up with Google Adsense. Several Internet marketers will actually create specifically targeted web sites in order to attract lucrative Adsense ads. -
